One lesson builds a skill. A few build a shooter.

Most people don't get confident in a single session — they get there by coming back. Bank a block of private hours up front, use them one or two at a time whenever it suits you, and pay less per hour the more you commit. Pay in full for the best rate, or split it into interest-free payments.

Start where you are

No experience needed. No judgment.

The hardest part is walking in the door — and we know it. There are no dumb questions here, no one watching, no rushing. Whether you've never held a firearm or you're knocking off rust, your first lesson meets you exactly where you are.

Why one-on-one

No two shooters are the same — so your training shouldn't be either.

Built around your goals

Home defense, concealed carry, or simply confidence — every minute is shaped around what you want, not a fixed syllabus.

At your own pace

No keeping up with a group. We slow down where you need it and move on when you're ready — and you'll feel the progress.

Safety, made simple

Calm, certified, one-on-one coaching. You'll leave knowing how to handle your firearm safely and surely — not nervous about it.

What to expect

Booking takes a minute. Here's exactly what happens.

  1. STEP 01

    Pick a time that works

Choose your day and time online — or text us if you'd rather talk it through first. You'll get a confirmation and a short “what to bring” note.

  2. STEP 02

    We start with the basics

A calm safety orientation, then we build from the ground up. Questions are welcome — that's the whole point of one-on-one.

  3. STEP 03

    You leave with a plan

Supervised live fire, real coaching, and a personal plan for what's next. Most students book their second lesson before they leave.

I just finished my first lesson with Ben at Integrated Defensive Solutions and I can’t recommend him highly enough. I’m new to handguns and showed up nervous. Ben met me exactly where I was — no ego, no rushed pace, no canned curriculum. Ben actually teaches. He doesn’t just run you through a checklist. He builds the foundation — stance, grip, trigger discipline, sight alignment, follow-through — and corrects in real time in a way that makes the lesson stick. When he caught a safety habit I didn’t know I had, he named it directly without making me feel bad about it. I left with a clear, structured assessment and a specific dry-fire plan to sharpen what we covered. He’s clearly invested in his students’ progression, not just their range time. If you’re new to shooting and you want to learn the right way from someone who treats it as a serious discipline but in a relaxed way, Ben is your instructor.

Ben is an excellent instructor and builds a really solid foundation in order to support your goals. I wanted to learn how to shoot for both women’s self defense and personal protection when traveling alone in the wilderness. He kept my goals and motivations in mind the whole time and made me feel confident and knowledgeable. I highly recommend integrated defensive, as the lesson was really clear, fun, and informative! Thanks a ton to Ben, I’ll definitely be coming back for more! :)

Set up a private lesson for myself and my daughter, for her birthday, to learn the fundamentals, firearm safety, proper shooting stance and grip, confidence and comfortability with a firearm. He was amazing. He was patient, he was thorough and over-the-top with his instructions, kept the training serious yet also light-hearted. My daughter who had never fired is already eager to continue training and building on what she learned and coming back for more advanced training when she's ready. HIGHLY recommended!

Honest answers

The questions first-timers actually ask

I've literally never held a firearm. Is that okay?

More than okay — it's who these lessons are built for. We start with safety and the absolute basics, at your pace. You'll never feel rushed or judged.

Do I need to own a gun or bring anything?

No. A loaner firearm and eye & ear protection are included. Just bring yourself, closed-toe shoes, and any questions you have.

What if I'm not comfortable, or it's not for me?

You're covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee: we keep working with you at no additional cost until you're confident — or, if you'd rather, we give you your money back. And your very first session is the First-Shot Assessment — love it or it's free. No pressure, no sales pitch — ever.

Can my spouse or friend come with me?

Absolutely. Many people start with someone they trust. Add a second person to any private session for half the per-hour rate.

Is this about self-defense and fear?

It's about confidence and competence, not fear. We teach calm, capable, safe handling — the skills, not the scare tactics.

Questions about packages

What's the difference between paying in full and over time?

Pay in full and you get the lowest price and all your hours are ready to book today. Pay over time and you split the cost into equal, interest-free monthly payments — your hours unlock as each payment comes through, and you still pay less per hour than booking single sessions.

Do my hours expire?

You have 12 months from purchase to use your banked hours. Rescheduling is always free — we just want you actually training, not racing a clock.

Can I use two hours in one session?

Yes. Use one or two hours per session, whatever fits the day. Your balance simply reflects what's left.

What if I need to cancel a package?

Unused hours can be refunded; hours you've already trained are charged at the standard single-session rate (the package discount applies to hours you actually keep). We'll always walk you through it.

Are these hours just for me?

Yes — a package is yours as a single student, so we can build a real plan across your sessions. Want to bring a partner to a session? You can add a second person at the single-session rate.

Ready when you are
