Is this you?
Shooters who can safely run a pistol and want to build real defensive skill — draw, movement, and decisions under a clock.
- Pistol 201 or equivalent — you should already draw from a holster, reload, and clear a stoppage without coaching. A private lesson can bridge the gap if you're close.
- Able to load, unload, and clear a basic malfunction without coaching.
- This class has a working standard, and it isn't a formality. If you can't safely and reliably run your pistol to the level this class requires, we'll move you to a lower-level class or a private first, at no additional cost, and you're welcome back once you can demonstrate it. That's about your safety and everyone else's on the line.
- A reliable handgun you can run safely, plus 250+ rounds of ammunition.
- A sturdy belt and a holster that covers the trigger guard (we'll advise if unsure).
- Eye and ear protection, water, and snacks — it's a full day.

How do I know if I'm ready for this class?
If you can safely draw, load, fire, and clear a malfunction on your own, you're ready. If you're not sure, a short private lesson gets you there fast — and we'll tell you honestly.
Do I need my own holster?
Yes — a quality holster that fully covers the trigger guard. If you're unsure what to get, ask when you reserve and we'll point you to safe options.
Is this a CCW class?
No, though it pairs perfectly with one. This is pure skill-building. The Enhanced CCW course adds the law and the Idaho qualification.
