Privacy Policy
Integrated Defensive Solutions, LLC (“IDS,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It reflects U.S. consumer-protection standards, applicable U.S. state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA), the data-protection principles that apply to visitors from the EU, EEA, and UK, Idaho’s breach-notification law, and the carrier (10DLC / CTIA) rules governing our SMS program.

Our promise first
We track training, not firearms. We do not collect, store, share, or sell information about the firearms you own or carry — no makes, models, serials, or inventory. What we keep is what helps us coach you and run your training, and we share only what is needed with the vendors that operate it on our behalf.
What we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone, mailing/billing address; the same for each person attending a class; what you tell us in a prep intake (experience level, accommodations, questions); and waiver and safety-acknowledgment records.
- Payment information: processed by our payment processor (currently Stripe). We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Information collected automatically:
- Basic device and usage analytics, page interactions, and marketing attribution (UTM / referral source). No firearm-related data is collected this way.
- IP address and approximate location. When you visit our site, our hosting provider makes your IP address and IP-derived country and region available to us. We use this coarse location signal to tailor which content and consent options you see — for example, to show an EU/EEA/UK email-consent checkbox to visitors from those regions and to distinguish local from non-local visitors. We do not use it to determine your street-level location.
- IP in your consent record. When you submit a lead or consent form, we store the IP address associated with that submission as part of the consent record, as evidence of when and from where consent was given.
- AI assistant (“Scout”) inputs: if you use our on-site AI chat assistant, the free text you type. See Scout AI Assistant below.
- Communications records: your opt-in status, consent timestamps, and the messages we have sent you.
Scout AI Assistant
Our website offers an optional AI chat assistant (“Scout”) to answer questions and, if you choose, to connect you with our team.
- What is processed: the free-text messages you type into Scout. Please do not enter sensitive personal information you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider.
- Who processes it: your messages are sent to our AI provider (currently Anthropic, PBC) and processed by its Claude family of models to generate responses. The specific model and provider may change over time; any provider we use acts as our service provider and is bound to protect your information.
- No model training.Under our AI provider’s commercial terms, Scout inputs and outputs are not used to train the provider’s AI models.
- Retention. Our AI provider automatically deletes the inputs and outputs it processes within a limited window (for our current provider, generally up to 30 days), except where a longer period is legally required or content is flagged for trust-and-safety review. IDS does not retain the raw text of your Scout conversation beyond what is needed to answer you and, if you request it, to create your lead (your name/email and the substance of your request). If we later retain Scout inputs to improve our services, we will store them in de-identified form with personal identifiers removed and handle them consistent with this policy.
- Connecting you with us: if you ask Scout to connect you with our team, we collect your email to complete the handoff. That information is subject to this Privacy Policy like any other lead.
SMS / Text Messaging (10DLC)
By providing your mobile number and checking the SMS opt-in box at any IDS sign-up or checkout form, you expressly consent to receive transactional and marketing text messages from IDS at that number, sent via an automated system. Full program terms are in our SMS / Messaging Terms.
- Transactional: class confirmations, reminders, prep instructions, schedule changes, instructor-initiated cancellations, and post-class follow-ups.
- Marketing: occasional updates, new class announcements, promotions, and IDS news.
- Frequency: transactional as scheduled; marketing up to approximately 4 messages per month.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact ben@integrateddefensive.com.
- Consent is not a condition of any purchase, class, or service.
- Each individual consents for themselves. If you book a seat for someone else, they receive their own link to opt in or decline. A purchaser cannot opt a third party in to SMS.
- We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile information or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Phone numbers and consent records are shared only with the providers needed to deliver messages (currently Twilio).
We send transactional email (booking confirmations, receipts, prep, schedule changes) and, only if you opt in, marketing email. Every marketing email includes a working one-click unsubscribe and our physical mailing address, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act. Transactional purchase emails cannot be turned off without cancelling the underlying booking.
How we use your information
We use your information to deliver and improve training; schedule, remind, check you in, and follow up; process payments; honor our “100% satisfaction guarantee”; send content you request; operate referrals and memberships; tailor site content and consent options using coarse (country/region) location; and meet our legal, safety, and record-keeping obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
Who we share it with (service providers)
We rely on a small set of service providers to operate our business. The providers named below are our current providers; we may change them, or add others in the same category, at any time without updating this policy, and we use only providers that are contractually bound to protect your information and to use it solely to perform services for us.
- Firestarter — instructor operations: bookings, students, waivers, reminders, check-in, referrals.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Twilio — SMS delivery.
- Resend — email delivery.
- Anthropic, PBC — AI processing for the Scout assistant.
- Vercel — website hosting, analytics, and IP-derived geolocation.
- Google Analytics — usage analytics.
- Shopify and Printful — merchandise orders and fulfillment (and other merchandise providers as needed, depending on the product).
- Legal & safety — disclosure if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies for site function, analytics, and attribution. You can control cookies through your browser. We honor Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable law requires us to treat them as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing.
Your privacy choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know or access the personal information we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Email marketing: unsubscribe from any marketing email, or contact ben@integrateddefensive.com.
- SMS: reply STOP.

- We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism first.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the rights described above. In the preceding 12 months we collect the categories of personal information described in What we collect (identifiers, customer records, commercial/transaction information, internet activity, and coarse geolocation) for the business purposes described in How we use your information. We do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact ben@integrateddefensive.com; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
EU / EEA / UK visitors. If we detect that you are visiting from the EU, EEA, or UK, we ask for your explicit consent before sending marketing email, and we rely on your consent and/or our legitimate interest in operating and securing our site as the legal basis for processing. You may withdraw consent at any time and may have additional rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority). Contact ben@integrateddefensive.com.
Retention
- Training and safety records: typically kept for 7 years.

Data security & breach notification
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. Children
Our services are intended for adults. Minors may participate in training only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.
